Entries are now being taken for Ballarats Got Talent to be staged throughout September. A move to an exciting new venue: Gold Rush Mini Golf and Cabaret Club will also see a major change this year to the running of the competition. Instead of just one day and long hours the event will be split into heats held on Sunday afternoons between 1pm and 4.30pm with approximately 20 acts in each heat
(Subject to entries) 10 Locals and 10 from around Victoria will each perform one item with the first and second placegetters from both sections going straight into the Grand Final on Sunday October 4th
Another innovation this year will be the opportunity for the contestants who are placed 3rd and 4th, (on the judges scores ) to have a second chance.
This means if you are successfully placed 3rd or 4th, in your heat, you can choose to perform again in the "next" heat for another chance to make the grand final.

Many Chances Of Being a Winner

The Cabaret club at the Gold Rush Mini Golf complex holds approximately 150 people so we have also included an AUDIENCE vote at each heat. The act with the highest number of votes will take home $100 in cash.
Prizes will include Heat winners sharing in $600 cash
Plus an audience winner receiving $100 cash

Grand Final winners will share in $2000 cash and a trophy
Plus a especially made promotional DVD valued at $2000
will be awarded to one act in the grand final.

A $10 entrance fee will apply to ALL who attend or perform
in the competition at each heat. However the initial $50 fee
is only payable once.
